Recently, the 15th International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Exhibition (FC EXPO) in Japan came to an end.
Mr. Yin Hou Song, Sales Director of New Energy Division of Manto Chemical, went to Japan to participate in this international event, to communicate with Japanese related companies and to visit some of the hydrogen energy infrastructure in Japan.
On February 26, Director Yin first visited Toshiba Corporation and Japan's New Energy Industry Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

Of the hydrogen refueling stations currently under construction in Japan, three percent are liquid hydrogen refueling stations and seven percent are high-pressure gas hydrogen refueling stations, of which Iwatani's stations account for the majority of the 30 percent of liquid hydrogen refueling stations. Iwatani Industries is involved in the construction of more than 40 hydrogen refueling stations in Japan, accounting for about half of the stations in Japan.

The scale of this exhibition in Japan can be said to be several times larger than similar exhibitions in China, and it brought together excellent hydrogen and fuel cell companies from all over the world, including many excellent companies from China.
In terms of quantity, apart from Japanese companies, Chinese companies can almost be ranked second, with more than 20 Chinese companies participating in the show.
The increase in the number of Chinese exhibitors also shows that China's technology and domestic capacity can already compete with the world's leading companies. It can be seen that the domestic hydrogen and fuel cell technology has advanced rapidly in recent years, such as in terms of performance and parameters.
Toyota FCV plus was shown in the Toyota Pavilion.
The two companies pushing FCVs in Japan were Toyota and Honda, and both Mirai and Clarity were among the most crowded areas to view.
Honda's SHS hydrogen supply system and Power Exporter 9000 were very bright, FCV is not only a transportation but also a large mobile rechargeable, Toshiba's Ene-Farm's domestic type cogeneration was suspended after the main push of commercial/industrial H2One and H2Rex stationary system, Panasonic and Aisin as the main representatives of Ene-Farm in PEMFC and SOFC are the main representatives of Ene-Farm, they are promoting very hard on the show floor, and the catalyst company Tanaka Precious Metals is also a leading global core component company.

There were four main sections of Japanese corporate exhibitors: hydrogen storage and transportation and hydrogen refueling station sections, such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Iwatani and TATSUNO; automotive OEMs, such as Toyota and Honda; stationary power generation systems, such as Panasonic, Aisin and Toshiba; and fuel cell reactor component companies, such as Tanaka Precious Metals and Yamanashi Prefectural Business Group.
Visit to the hydrogen refueling station of Air Liquide Kawasaki on March 1.
Located in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, the Air Liquide Kawasaki hydrogen refueling station was invested by Air Liquide, a French group, which completed construction by March 2018 and officially opened to the public in April 2018.
The Kawasaki hydrogen refueling station, adjacent to Air Liquide's Japanese production site, is an important site for the development of hydrogen fuel cell buses, with key components including compressors, hydrogen storage tanks and pre-coolers. Hydrogen-powered electric vehicles can be refueled in "three minutes" at this station.
According to the introduction of the worker on site, the specification of the hydrogen refueling vehicle is 230kg, 2500 cubic meters, which can refill 40 vehicles.
Hydrogen filling 5KG can drive 600KM, the price of hydrogen is 70RMB per kg.

Later that afternoon, Director Yin went to Toray, a Fortune 500 company that provides MEA and carbon paper for the hydrogen energy industry, and thus the visit to Japan was successfully finished.
Through this visit, we learned the future development trend of new energy such as hydrogen energy and fuel cell, the domestic hydrogen energy industry will be on a higher level in 2019, the technology gap between domestic and foreign is gradually narrowing, and the cost advantage is gradually reflected. With the entry of more and more state-owned enterprises and central enterprises in China, the construction of hydrogen energy infrastructure in China will be developed rapidly in 2019, and with it, the number of fuel cell vehicles will increase. We also expect the whole hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry in China to maintain a benign, rapid and safe development.
